Newborn Twin Photography session Kensington London
Photographed at their home in Kensington just two weeks after they were born. I can’t stop looking at this picture. It was just such a perfect photoshoot. These two dreamy little ones, gently sleeping together. It is moments like these that I love to capture during my newborn twin photography sessions. Time passes so quickly and it is only the early weeks when twins still sleep together.
I know many parents put them in the brilliant sleepy head pods. Side by side in the same cot or crib. This is a great way to enable them to sleep together without them disturbing each other. I wish I had known about these when I had my two! Brilliant Swedish design and available in so many gorgeous prints & colours.
Twins are amazing aren’t they. Two new little people born minutes apart. It is incredible to think that just over a week before these shots were taken they were tucked up inside their Mum. Pregnancy is so incredible and I’m always in awe of twin Mums.
If you know of any brilliant twin support networks please let me know. I always like to pass on recommendations to my Clients and I have a lot of twins booked in this year already.
I often pass on inspiration and positive twin parenting advice from my client Ursula Rose. Her blog is fantastic. Refreshing and truthful. Definitely worth a visit if you are a twin mummy. http://ursula-rose.com/
From Ursula I learnt a valuable lesson about twin mummy’s. That is that when you are pregnant you constantly hear negative remarks. Such as ‘twins, oh my that must have been a shock’, ‘oh it’s going to be so hard’ ‘wow twins, how will you cope?’
She told me that it can really bring you down when you are already naturally nervous but also want to celebrate the fact that you are having twins. I mean it is pretty incredible isn’t it! You are going to have two babies! Two children at one time, a complete family. One pregnancy (if you decided to only do it once), one birth, one set of teething etc and the joy of seeing them grow and bond together. They will always have a playmate and always have someone they are close to.
It was so lovely to work with her on her newborn photography session. I always take her positive outlook to my twin sessions and hope that it helps.
I think there need to me more posts and sites like this for twin parents, I’d love to hear about them so please do get in touch

Happy Friday everyone! Re-posting this gorgeous bump shot today. I just love the lace and the softness it gives to the shot. It’s such a beautiful bump picture.
I always do a series of ‘just the bump’ shots during my pregnancy photography sessions. These look so artistic and are often chosen by my clients to frame and display in their homes.
The perfect time for pregnancy pictures is between 32-36 weeks. Booking is recommended for as soon as possible after your 20 weeks scan to ensure I can fit you in.
My bump to baby packages are my favourites. It’s amazing to capture the before and after. I love being one of the first to meet the new arrival. It is a great honour and a joy.
I’ve been in touch with some fantastic Mum and Baby groups in Chelsea. Many of them offer support for new mums and are local. You can find many of them on google and some are highly recommended. Without a doubt over the years my Clients continue to enjoy the fantastic nct courses and groups. Providing new Mums with a network of friends and support much needed in the early weeks. The Putney & Fulham group link is here nct for any one that needs it.
Thank you for looking, have a great weekend!

Whilst working in the studio today I came across these gorgeous newborn portraits and had to share them. I remember this photoshoot so well. Just look at her amazing thick hair at just two weeks old!
Spring is the perfect time for me to organise my archives and prepare for the year ahead. It’s my Spring clean time in the studio. Also preparing for a busy Easter with all the gorgeous pregnancy, newborn and baby photography session’s booked in.
I am currently addicted to buying newborn baby props for my session. I recently purchased the most gorgeous little soft crochet lambs ear bonnet. Perfect for my Easter baby photoshoots. There are only a handful of specialist newborn baby prop makers in the UK that I use. They are incredibly talented and use the best quality natural, soft wools which are gentle for newborn’s delicate skin. I only wish I had the time and the patience to make these myself. For any new parents looking for something extra special for their little ones I can highly recommend Etsy. There are literally hundreds of independent designers. Be careful though, minutes quickly turn into hours whenever I enter this site! ETSY
The flower hat used on this baby girl is one of my long time favourites. The oversized flower is just perfect. It has a slight 20’s feel which I love.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I have today.
Also a huge thank you to my lovely Client Diana who just left me this wonderful review on google.
Google Review:
” Elle was absolutely brilliant for our newborn photo shoot! She showed incredible professionalism and patience and handled our little one with great ease. We felt very relaxed during the shoot and we are delighted with the final set of pictures! I would highly recommend Elle to anyone wanting to capture some beautiful memories of their newborn.”

Tender moments between mother and newborn baby captured during a newborn photography session in Borough Market, London, SE1.
Can you remember that feeling just after your little one was born? It is something that I think we hold onto as mothers. I hope I never forget those snuffly sounds and the warm feeling of my little ones skin next to mine. The overwhelming feeling of love, pride & joy. I wasn’t quite prepared for how much love I would have for the little being I had created. I don’t think anything can really prepare you for that.
One of the perks of my job is meeting new babies and enjoying little cuddles every week. I love getting to know the new parents and capturing intimate moments like these. I have worked with hundreds of newborn’s over the years but each session is completely unique and special. I’m always taken back to my first experience as a mother. I like to be as helpful as possible during the session. It is most important that the new parents are happy and confident with my ability to safely work with their baby.
This is one of my favourite mother & baby portraits from this session. It has a very natural feel. It is so important to have these moments. We all have lots of pictures of our children but often avoid the camera ourselves! Taking time out to have some special mother & baby portraits for them to look back is something they will be grateful for.
With mothers day approaching my family photography sessions are the perfect gift. Personalised gift vouchers on my signature paper. In a beautiful presentation box with Green & Blacks chocolates! I think it is something that all mothers will appreciate and something to look forward to doing together as a family.

Newborn Photographer Belsize Park London
This newborn photography session in Belsize Park London was such a joy to do. Incorporating many members of the family visiting from abroad. I think I met at least 4 generations of this wonderful family in one day!
These are a few of my favourites, a sneak peak from our session. The first portrait is one with Grandma visiting all the way from LA. There were so many beautiful, natural moments during this session. I just love the look of joy on her face as her granddaughter flung her arms around her to give her a big kiss.
There is something truly special about a black & white portrait. Especially with family and children’s portraits. I love the ageless quality to the images. There is something so distinctive & striking about them.
I love involving older siblings in newborn photography sessions. This little girl was so proud of her new baby sister and a natural in front of the camera. Whilst we were waiting for her baby sister to be fed and soothed I grabbed some time with her for her own mini photoshoot.
They selected some beautiful handcrafted frames which I was more than happy to work on with my framers. We even delivered them direct to her family in LA. A lovely reminder of this special time in London.

Family Photographer Westminster London W1. I have photographed these two since the week after this darling little girl was born.
It is always a joy to go back and photograph them at their home in Westminster. I love my ‘watch me grow’ sessions. Documenting little ones as they change and their personalities develop.
It is without a doubt a thrill to see all of the pictures I have taken over the years displayed so lovingly in their home. I can see how treasured they are. Taking a series of children and family portraits in the same style is a great way to capture their changes over the years.
I was very warmly received by these two who have go to know me over the years. They were excited about their photoshoot and knew exactly what to do! We even had great fun arranging some of their favourite toys for their own private photoshoot. I loved this so much! It is s so lovely to feel that everyone has enjoyed the session. I hope that they will have fond memories of these sessions from their childhood. And of course love the pictures too.
There is a beautiful mother & baby portrait from their newborn photography session on my portfolio page. You can see it via this link. It is such a tender moment and wonderful to look back at now her daughter is such a gorgeous three year old!
These moments between them happened so naturally. I think they work really well as a set. Such bright smiles and sweet cuddles.

Sometimes it’s the simplest shots that work the best. I love these two taken at a recent newborn photography session and I hope you do too.
This incredible stage of life is so beautiful to capture. I like to try to make the shots as pure as possible. It was lovely to use the mothers hands for this lifted baby portrait. She has such beautiful long elegant fingers which perfectly fitted the length of her sleeping baby.
It was also lovely to use my white fabric backdrop for the feet shot, it has a very classic feel. I love capturing these little details.
This month I have worked with and met many amazing families who always make me feel so welcome when I enter their homes. I’m looking forward to sharing some more recent photo sessions on my blog soon. It is always an honour to enter into someones life to record these important occasions. Creating a little piece of history for them. Whether it is for a pregnancy, newborn, baby or family photography session. Each feels incredibly special.
Please feel free to follow me on my Facebook page.

Newborn Baby photographer Battersea session.
I’m happy to share some of the beautiful mother and baby portraits taken at a recent session in Battersea.
I read a blog recently about how important having pictures of you with your children is. It is true that as parents we take thousands of pictures of our children over time but actually have very little of us with them. I think it’s important to take the time to have some truly special portraits taken with your children. These will become their most treasured possession as they grow older.
These newborn baby and mother portraits are very graceful and I think they capture these first tender moments beautifully.
With mothers day not too far away now a mother & child photoshoot would make a unique & thoughtful gift. Please see my ‘Gift Voucher‘ page for details and contact me for bespoke packages.

Pregnancy and Newborn Photographer, South London session.
I love my bump to baby photography sessions. I find that often the simplest shots work the best.
These before and after pictures were all taken on location at my Clients home. This is a key factor in helping everyone to feel relaxed and happy during their session. I like to think that I am making my Clients experience as easy as possible from start to finish. Of course this is even more important when you are expecting a baby and after you have given birth.
Pregnancy portraits are an amazing way to celebrate your body and create a lasting memory of your bump. My Client’s have so many different reasons for choosing to record this time. I’m always inspired by their stories. It is a joy to share in one of the happiest times of their lives.
When I was pregnant I was always grateful for recommendations and birthing tips. For me my pregnancy yoga group and teacher provided the ultimate support and guidance. Unfortunately my teacher has since mover away back to her home country of Australia but I have just come across this fantastic holistic birthing website with classes in South East London.
I’m very happy to recommend Anjaneya Yoga, have a look at her wonderful classes here

Last week I was very excited to return to see this little one and to meet his new baby brother. Now a beautiful blond curly haired two year old I had to revisit the pictures I took at his first photoshoot. I love seeing the similarities between siblings. His new baby brother is just as gorgeous. It was wonderful to see them together. He had endless cuddles and kisses for the new arrival which was a delight to capture!
I loved looking back at these pictures from our first newborn photography session. They are very similar and it’s lovely to see these pictures again. I’m sharing a few of my favourite cuteness shots! Perfect for a Sunday morning!
I’m having a day with my little ones today. I love a lazy Sunday morning and now we are getting ready to go bowling at Surrey Quays Hollywood Bowl – wish me luck!
