I am very pleased to announce that I will be fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH) at the Telegraph Hill festival on the 1st April.
About the festival
The Telegraph Hill festival takes place between the 25th March and 9th April. There are many fantastic events to attend all organised by local volunteers & artists. For full listings take a look at the festival website http://telegraphhillfestival.org.uk/
My Event
I will be hosting a ‘Pop Up Photography’ studio for GOSH on Saturday 1st April 2017.
The studio will be open between: 11.00am and 4.00pm
The venue will be: Telegraph Hill Centre, Kitto Rd, London SE14 5TY
This is a fun and relaxed event. I will be very happy to welcome you and your family into the studio to take your picture on the day.
Due to space group sizes are limited to 2 adults and 2 – 3 children per sitting. Each sitting will be 10 minutes per person.
I will be donating 100% of my time and all money raised from image sales.
Why Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity?
Fund raising is vital for Great Ormond Street Hospital to provide world-class care for its young patients and their families, and to pioneer new treatments and cures for childhood illnesses.
Great Ormond Street needs to raise £50 million every year to help rebuild and refurbish Great Ormond Street Hospital , buy vital equipment and fund pioneering research. Amazing things happen at Great Ormond Street Hospital every day. Fundraising events like this make a big difference to very ill children and their families.
Here are just a few examples of what a difference your generosity can make:
- £500 could help pay for a new play room in the hospital’s redeveloped site
- £1,288 could pay for a recliner chair for a parent to rest by their child’s bedside
- £3,500 could pay for Neurology testing equipment
How can we donate and purchase our portraits?
After the event all images will be displayed in a special on-line gallery. I will take your email address at the event so that the details can be sent to you. The images will be available to purchase as high resolution retouched digital images.
Each image will be £10.00 (special event price and additional donations welcome!)
All money for image purchases and any voluntary donations can be made via my ‘Just Giving’ fundraising page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Elle-Fallon-Photography
Thank you!
This will be the fourth year I have held my fundraising studio at this fantastic festival. I am delighted to be back!
I would like to thank all who have attended in the past and a special thank you to the wonderful volunteers who make this happen!
It is with thanks to you we have raised over £770 so far and I’m hoping this year will be the best yet!

Newborn Photographer Wimbledon, SW1. Good morning London, the sun isn’t up yet but we are wide awake in my house. Whilst snuggled on the sofa with my toddler I thought it was the perfect moment to share some of my recent work.
Once the day begins there aren’t many moments to grab so I am making the most of this one in a truly British way with a nice cup of tea!
I imagine there is no greater feeling in the world than being lifted up neatly in the crook of you Daddy’s arm.
This is one of my favourite ‘nose to nose’ father and baby portraits from a recent newborn photography session in Wimbledon.
I was so happy to return again to photograph this family. I was lucky enough to photograph their first born two years ago. It is always wonderful to meet the new addition to my families and capture more precious moments for them.
Capturing parent & baby shots is something I always like to include my sessions. These private moments are rare and precious. The photographs I have of my parents with me are my treasures. It is wonderful to look back and see how tenderly you were held. How small you were in their arms and how they looked (back then!). Creating a visual record of that time is an honour.
Please take a moment to have a look at more parent & child moments in my portfolio here
Tomorrow I have a newborn twin photography session in Borough, South London. I can’t wait to meet the new arrivals. Newborn twin photography is always so rewarding. I’ll be updating my blog with more recent pictures of my 2017 photography sessions soon.
Thank you for visiting my blog. My first achievement of the day! A post whilst entertaining my toddler at 6.00am and the sun is finally rising! My apologies for any typos!
Have a great day x

I love this mother & baby portrait taken at a recent newborn session in Canary Wharf. Those first precious days following the birth of your child. I remember it being a mix of joy, exhaustion, tears and happiness.
This little one is just so gorgeous and I love how he folded his little arms by his face when his mother wrapped him in her arms.
I’ve been a bit slow updating my blog recently, January has been one of my busiest months and there just aren’t enough hours in the day! I’ll be adding some new work to my website over the next few days.
Newborn photography sessions take place in the first 2-3weeks. Advance booking is recommended to ensure I can fit you in. Most of my Clients book quite soon after their 20 week scan. I am more than happy to work around you and your family. My aim is to provide an enjoyable & professional photography experience in your home. For recent reviews please see my google review page. Further reviews are shown on the testimonial page of my website.
A few more details can be found here in my FAQ section. You can contact me for further details via my booking page.

Newborn photography West London session with this little cutie. A tiny smile crept across her face just as the shutter clicked. It’s one of those incredible moments during a newborn photography session. Everyone one in the room melts and it’s such a lovely feeling.
I’m really pleased with this shot of this gorgeous little newborn. swinging happily in her Daddy’s arm. What a wonderful feeling that must be. Her Dad was gently stroking her back to make her feel settled and relaxed for this picture. I love how his hand is gently touching her back.
Nestled in the heart of Kensington on a quiet leafy street. I arrived at their family home for their first photoshoot with their precious new arrival. I always feel excited before my newborn sessions. To capture this moment for the new parents and future generations of their family is an honour. I’m entering into their lives at a very private time. The new parents are at home getting to know their new baby and learning how to look after them. It’s a big change to their lives especially with the first born. I remember how I felt in these early days and am very sensitive to that. We generally chat and drink lots of tea whilst I set up the different studio settings for each portrait. Newborn sessions take time and I want to ensure that everyone is relaxed and happy. Most importantly that the baby is comfortable at all times. For this reason I only take on a certain amount of newborns each month and I only book one session per day.
It is a magical time and I want my newborn session to the beautiful memories of this time.
Today I’m having some family time to celebrate my nephews 10th birthday! I can’t believe what a lovely human he is and I’m so proud. The past 10 years he has added to our lives and we already have so many great memories and happy times between us. I still remember the day he was born as if it was yesterday. I rushed to the hospital to be with my sister and brother in-law. To hold him and to hug them. He was so tiny and perfect with a full head of gorgeous hair. It really doesn’t feel like 10 years ago! I use to marvel at my Dad when he talked about things that happened ’10 years ago’. I would think goodness how do you remember things that happened so long ago! As a child you can’t imagine that. The days seem to last forever and a year stretches out for eternity.
I love documenting children as they grow. I’m lucky to have many Clients who ask me to take portraits of their children year after year. It is a thrill to capture the changes in them and see their personalities grow & develop. A series of portraits in the same style over the years really does capture those changes. It is a beautiful gift to give them.
I’m more than happy to chat through details of these. One of my most popular packages is the First Year Photography experience. Which is three sessions spread over the first year. For details please contact me via my booking page.

Two perfect little girls photographed at their newborn twin photography session, South London. I love photographing twins. A newborn photography session always feels very magical to me but even more so when there is more than one baby to photograph. It’s wonderful to curl twins up together and sneak in quite a few cuddles along the way!
Mum & Dad were super relaxed during our session which definitely helped to capture so many beautiful shots. These sessions do take a little extra time. There are two babies to feed and settle after all but I’m more than happy to wait to get the perfect shots. Sometimes I’ll photograph one of the twins whilst the other is being fed or changed. I have to work quickly to position them together and grab these poses. Although this picture makes them look as though they have been sleeping peacefully like that for hours. I have photographed many twins over the years and feel very comfortable working with more than one newborn. It’s important to keep the atmosphere calm, relaxed and to handle all newborns with care. Moving them slowly, with consideration to their comfort and safety at all times.
Twinkle toes – capturing newborn baby toes and fingers is something I always do. I love this particular shot of their toes gently touching. They were sleeping, wrapped up together in one of my vintage crochet baby wraps.
Tomorrow I will be returning to London bridge to photograph another set of twins. I first met them last year when they were just two weeks old. This time I’ll be at their home to photograph them as one year olds! A totally different type of photography session. One full of energy, giggles, singing and fun. I can’t wait to see them and their parents again. I have one of their newborn pictures available to view in my portfolio here.

A perfect little winter bundle to cheer up this rainy day. Picture from a recent newborn photography london session.
This is possibly one of my favourite positions for a newborn. They sleep so well on their tummy’s during my newborn sessions that my Clients are often asking if I can return at 3.00am to repeat the magic! I love this little soft crochet pixie hat. It works really well in this classic black & white setting.
It has been a busy start to January and I’m thrilled to be photographing so many gorgeous 2017 newborns. Returning to see many of my Clients after photographing their beautiful bumps at their pregnancy sessions in December. It is so exciting to meet their new arrivals and to see how they are all getting on. Newborn photography sessions take place within the first two weeks following the birth. I come to the home to make everything as easy and relaxed as possible for the new parents.
The first two weeks are ideal as your baby is still very sleepy and has that gorgeous scrunched up newborn look. After that it is possible to still capture beautiful pictures but the session may take longer if you would like me to work towards the sleepy shots. It depends on your baby and I am very flexible. I will work around you, your new family to capture the best shots. Where possible I recommend booking before your baby arrives to ensure I can fit you in. Occasionally I do have last minute sessions moved so it is always worth checking even if it is after your baby has arrived.
I’ve often been asked where I get my newborn baby props from. The beautiful hats, nappy covers, headbands and blankets that I use are often custom made. Although I am a complete Etsy addict! I have found some wonderful UK sellers on their who specialise in handmade newborn clothing. I’m more than happy to recommend my preferred sellers so please do get in touch if you would like details. These gorgeous hats do make wonderful and unique gifts.

Baby Photography, Putney, London
I was so happy to return recently and photograph this beautiful family at their home in Putney. I have photographed them several times over the years. From their pregnancy & newborn photography sessions to their one year celebration photography sessions. Each time I am treated to such a warm welcome from these two little ones.
It is always lovely to see how they have changed and grown. Their first born is now a very grown up big sister. She loves her little brother and was only too happy to kiss and cuddle him for the pictures.
I think they are so gorgeous in these pictures together. I’ve added one of their portraits from their newborn session to my portfolio which you can see here. She still looks just a pleased as punch with her little brother.
It is wonderful to continue to document these little ones as they grow. Without a doubt one of the most rewarding parts of my work is building relationships with my Clients. I love to think of these pictures being with the family for generations. Passed on to their children & grandchildren.
It has been a busy start to January and I’m excited about the New Year. Lots of resolutions in place and exciting plans for the year ahead!
Wishing you all a happy weekend,
Elle x
” Elle photographed our daughter Olivia when she was three weeks old. I found Elle on the Internet and from our first phone conversation I knew she was the perfect person to take these special photographs. Elle was completely patient and a calming influence on Olivia during the session, as we had to stop several times to feed! The afternoon that Elle spent in our home was a wonderful experience and great fun. The photographs she took were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I’d hoped for. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Elle to anyone, and certainly hope to use her again as my baby grows.”

A beautiful Mum-to-be, portraits taken at a recent Pregnancy Photography session, Wimbledon.
Looking so effortlessly elegant in these black & white shots. I think this is such a beautiful way to capture & celebrate your pregnancy. One of the most frequent comments I hear from my Clients is how much they miss their bump. It’s something I can relate to, I really missed feeling my little one moving inside me. Pregnancy portraits are about enjoying the shape of your body and feeling proud. It is an incredible time and one that passes very quickly. I think it’s wonderful to create a lasting memory.
The classic feel of black & white portraits capture the spirit and feeling of this time. I love my pregnancy portraits. For me they captured exactly how I was feeling at the time. The anticipation and excitement with my first pregnancy. The joy of adding to our family and including my daughter in the pictures with my second pregnancy. Both have provided me with a lasting memory of a truly special time. I always hope that I am giving the same experience and history to the many new families I meet across London.
Thank you all so much for choosing to capture these precious moments and more with me in 2016! It has been a fantastic year and I am so grateful to all of the families I have met & worked with.
Wishing all of you a very Happy New Year! May 2017 bring you love, hope & happiness.

Listen to my BBC Radio 4 interview here in my Press section.
“In a new series of Picturing Britain Adil Ray examines the country through the lens of it’s most distinctive photographers. In this second programme Adil meets Elle Fallon, a music photographer who left behind the mud of Glastonbury and crush of concerts, to take classic, black and white portraits of bumps and babies. Adil hears how women, four weeks before their birth, no longer hide in tent shaped clothes but celebrate the beauty of their changing bodies.”

A lovely Newborn Baby Photography Brockley SE4 session. Introducing the very gorgeous Matilda. Such a peaceful little one and a pure joy to photograph.
I love her tiny toes picture, you can see all the gorgeous creases. Cupped gently in her mummy’s hands to show the scale.
This newborn session was brought as a photography gift for the new parents. I’m always thrilled to do these sessions. A newborn photography session is thoughtful & unique gift. Ideally these are purchased before the baby arrives to ensure I can fit their session in within the first 1 – 3 weeks. I give a 1-3 week timescale as although the first two weeks is ideal I like to give a little more flexibility. I will chat to the new parents to see how they are feeling and arrange a date for when they feel ready for their portrait session.
The benefits of doing a newborn photography session within the first two weeks are:
- To capture the baby whilst he / she still has their true newborn look
- Newborns are sleepier in the first 10 days and this helps to capture sleepy poses
I will work around my Clients to ensure the time selected for their newborn session works for them. I know how exhausting these early days following the birth of your baby are. New parents also need time to recover and this is a very personal time. For this reason I like to travel to my Clients home to ensure everyone is comfortable and rested for the session.
Whilst early booking is highly recommended there are occasionally last minute spaces available. If you have had your baby and would like a newborn photography session, contact me here. I would be very happy to hear from you.
Google Review:
Helen Arney, Brockley – “A wonderful experience from start to finish. We’d recommend Elle to anyone who wants to capture their baby’s precious first month.”

Newborn Photography London UK. It has been the most incredible year. Thank you so much to all the families I have met, I am truly grateful to have worked with you all.
As we fast forward to Christmas day I can hardly believe how lucky I have been. To welcome so many 2016 newborns into the world. To capture their incredible mothers during pregnancy. To celebrate 6month and first year milestones. It is a joy and a privilege to be a small part of these important moments.
We are still working away in the studio. Packaging up orders and gift cards ready to send out in time for Christmas. This week I will be enjoying my last pre Christmas newborn photography sessions. Following a busy few weeks of pregnancy photography sessions I am now excitedly meeting the new arrivals!
My blog picture tonight is of a darling newborn baby girl. This picture was taken at her home in West London. A perfect little sleeping angel. I love the gorgeous pixie bonnet made by my endlessly talented prop maker. Her tiny pout and button nose. There is something so special about black & white portraits. I love the fact that these will still look elegant in years to come.
I only have a few spaces left for January and we are currently taking bookings for February & March. If you would like to check availability simply complete the details on my ‘Make a Booking Enquiry‘ contact page.
I would love to hear from you and hope to meet you & your family in 2017.
