Easter is coming and I just love this shot of this little girl hugging her favourite bunny. She was so in love with this soft little bunny and barely let it go throughout the entire photoshoot.

I wanted to capture that beautiful moment and she held onto it so sweetly for this picture.  This lovely family photography session took place at my Clients home in Putney. I have photographed them many times over the years and it is always lovely to return and see how the children have changed. It’s so nice to be welcomed back and to capture some more special moments for their family gallery.

Easter holidays have started for many across the country. I love this time of year and it looks as though the welcome sunshine has arrived just in time for the holidays. I’ve been enjoying watching my two run and play in the garden all weekend. They have been out from early morning until dusk. I love seeing them get all that fresh air and exercise. The start of Spring and the celebration of all things new! I love the tree blossom and the beautiful spring flowers that have started to poke their little heads above the service. The buds on the trees and the dawn chorus from the many birds in our garden. Everything and everyone is emerging from winter hibernation.

I’ve been booking in many Easter family photography sessions these past few weeks. I love the special occasion of these photoshoots. All the family together in their best dress for their annual portraits. These sessions also make beautiful and unique Easter gifts for those who would like to receive something extra special. My gift packages also include a set of delicious organic Green & Black chocolates just perfect for Easter. To order your gift package simply fill in your requirements on my ‘make a booking enquiry’ page.

A beautiful pregnancy portrait session in Dulwich. I just love this shot, capturing that perfect window of time before you meet your baby. The third trimester is full of so many mixed emotions, especially if you are expecting your first baby. There has been the journey of pregnancy and all the preparation for the birth. Now it is time to relax and wait for your little one to arrive.

If you are having your baby naturally it can seem like the day will never happen! Both of mine were two weeks late. I did everything I could, all the classics such as drink raspberry leaf tea, eat pineapple, walk up hills, eat spicy curry, have reflexology (which was wonderful by the way!) and still my little ones refused to budge! I am sure most of these tips are given to us ‘Mums to be’ to make us think we are in someway still in control and can do something to help things along.

At the end of the day it is very rare that your baby will arrive on his or her due date. My daughter arrived promptly the day before I was booked in for my induction (13 days late). My son needed a little help and I had to be induced (14 days late). He was a very big boy though! I’m eternally grateful that they were both born safely and cared for expertly by the wonderful nhs hospital staff. It isn’t until you are in hospital or a birth centre in labour that you completely appreciate the incredible life saving work that doctors, surgeons, midwives and nurses perform every day.

After 9 months of waiting there is no greater joy than meeting your baby for the first time. It is a feeling that all parents know and share. It is a privilege for me to be a small part of that journey and capture a little bit of that time for the families I work with.

I hope you enjoy this sneak peak at from this lovely pregnancy photoshoot.

This was such a lovely newborn photoshoot in Wimbledon. A gorgeous baby boy who was just the perfect little model! So sleepy and peaceful throughout our photo session.

These are just some of my favourites from their final selection. I had lots of fun putting these together and designing their beautiful frames and albums. All of our albums are handmade to order and designed by me. I have worked with one of the best masterbook binders in London for over 10 years and the books are exquisite. Finished in soft leather in a range of colours with the name and date of birth embossed on the front. As well as making beautiful keep sake albums the smaller duplicate versions make wonderful gifts for family and friends. For further details please contact me for the full brochure & price list.

The frames are also handmade in London with a range of finishes to suit every interior. After your photography session with me I will arrange a date to come to your home to show you samples and finishes of products. From start to finish ensuring your portrait session is easy and convenient with beautiful results.

I really like the classic look of these portraits. He is just such a beautiful newborn, I can’t stop looking at them! These sessions always take me back to the first few weeks at home with my two. It such an incredibly special time and you want to hold onto those memories forever. It is a privilege to be asked to capture these beautiful moments for my Clients.

It was lovely to return for the 6 month baby session for this gorgeous little boy and his family. A follow on from my pregnancy & newborn photography session earlier last year. It is always a treat to return and document children as they grow. My first year portrait experience packages are perfect for this.

Following our pregnancy & newborn portrait session the family decided that they would like to add a 6 month and first year baby session with me. This is a great way to create a family gallery of beautiful classic portraits that celebrate the changes during the first year. From pregnancy to newborn to 6 month baby and finally a busy one year old! As this little one had two old siblings I have included plenty of family portraits and individual shots of the children with each photoshoot.

This is an increasingly popular portrait package and make a thoughtful gift for baby showers. Details and gift packages can be found here in my gift section: Gift Vouchers

I’ve chosen these two pictures for today’s post. I loved how his big sister gave him the biggest hug! She was so delighted to have her baby brother on her lap.  You can tell she is loving feeling like an important big sister.

I aways love to do mother & baby portraits with each session. This is one of my favourites, I just love the ‘chunky’ baby stage! He looks adorable in this stripy baby grow.

Travelling to my Client’s homes for their photoshoot is a big part of making the experience relaxed and personal. I am often in Chelsea, Kensington, Knightsbridge and other areas of West London. I love to visit this beautiful, historic part of our city. The tree lined streets of Chelsea and the wonderful Green Park! If I have time and the weather permits I always make a detour on my way home. For a coffee in the wonderful Park cafe.

I love this series of shots taken at a pregnancy photoshoot in South London. Perfect mother & son moments before the new arrival! Maternity photoshoots are a wonderful way to connect your toddler with their new baby sister or brother. It is also a beautiful bonding time for you both.

It is an exciting time for the whole family. I remember my pregnancy session with my daughter Bessie so well! She loved hugging my belly and posing for the pictures. However she certainly didn’t like the idea of me being photographed without her so we kept her in all the shots in the end. It was about making her feel important and not worried about the new arrival.

These pictures are just so sweet, it was wonderful to capture of this special time and share in the excitement. For me it was also a treat to return to see them all again as I had the pleasure of photographing her first pregnancy and the newborn photos of this little man!

We had lots of fun during the session. He was excited to show me his toys and I made sure there was plenty of time to play in-between pictures.

If you are thinking of having pregnancy portraits taken the ideal time is between 34-36 weeks. I would also recommend booking as soon as possible after your 20 week scan. Especially if you would like the bump to baby photography package. This will ensure I can reserve a date for your maternity photoshoot and fit you in for your newborn photography session.

I hope these pictures are treasured for years to come by all the family. I have a feeling they will be treasured most by this little boy and his mother.

Another from my lovely newborn photography session in Belsize Park, North London. I think there is nothing sweeter than photographing a newborn with a special cuddly toy. I have so many of my daughter with her favourite teddy when she was born. He was the same size of her and so fluffy! Now he is very warn and almost thread bare in places. He is loved though and still sleeps close by her side every night. This special elephant looks set for the same journey. All plush and new cuddled up next to his new owner. Who knows what adventures they will go on together.

Recently when visiting my parents home Bessie and I got my suitcase of childhood treasures out of the loft. In it was my old teddy. I have told Bessie many tales about him and she couldn’t wait for me to be reunited with my favourite ted. He was just as I remembered in his 70’s orange pyjamas with the elephant buttons made by my Mum. Bessie was so thrilled that every night she likes to tuck him into my bed ready for me. She said I must have missed him so much and he mustn’t ever be returned to the loft.

I have now passed him onto Sonny who has yet to select his special ted. He seems non fussed at the moment and usually tosses him out of his bed but perhaps he will grow on him or perhaps he will select his own. Either way it is nice to have him back and there is a part of me that is relieved he is not in a dark suitcase anymore.

I think I’ll have to post a picture of them together soon! We don’t let Bessie take her teddy out of the house – too dangerous out there! But I believe there is an ebay site for lost teddy’s which is popular. Selling a range of popular teddy’s and comforters so that you can quickly replace your little ones favourite soft toy. My sister in law very cleverly brought several of her son’s favourite elephant.

I hope you enjoy this sweet picture of baby Lily & her soft elephant as much as I have!
