Newborn Baby Photography Session Notting Hill, Camden London
This was a beautiful newborn photography session in Notting Hill. This lovely older brother was so proud and gentle with his new baby sister. It was wonderful to capture these tender sibling moments.
He was very patient whilst his mummy fed and changed his newborn sister. Then happily posed for the shots, gently cuddling his sister. As you can see from the pictures she was also an absolute dream to photograph. Looking picture perfect in my little hand made flower bonnet.
It is always special to involve siblings in newborn sessions. They will love to look back on them in years to come. Through all the ups and downs you always have your brother or sister and that relationship will always be special.
I’m so grateful for my two sisters, they are there for me no matter what and I couldn’t be without them.
There are so many gorgeous shots from this photoshoot but these three are my stand out favourites.
Notting Hill and the surrounding area have long been one of my favourite spots in London. I often sneak away to the antiques and now many independent boutique shops in Notting Hill market. It reminds me of my first year in London. Exploring every corner and soaking it in. I visit lots of families in Camden, Primrose Hill, Hampstead, Ladbrooke Grove and the surrounding areas. I found this great website for Notting Hill Mummy’s – definitely worth checking out if you are local:www.nottinghillmummy.com
I also love the fantastically funny blog by notting hill mummy Not A Notting Hill Mum www.notanottinghillmum.co.uk

I love this mother and baby portrait taken at a newborn photography session in Old Street, London. We wrapped her little one in my hand made crochet shawl just at the last minute to settle him. It worked perfectly and the delicate crochet detail looks gorgeous draping down. I also have complete hair envy! Such a beautiful new mummy.
It is always refreshing to visit new parts of London and I loved travelling to their stunning home in Old Street. Tucked away but with incredible views over the city. I also found this great blog for urban mums living in London www.urbanmums.net
I set up my studio in their home. Ensuring that the room was warm enough for these beautiful sleepy shots. I bring a special heated pad to warm my newborn posing beanbag before positioning the baby. This really helps to keep them comfortable and settled during the photoshoot.
I bring everything that is needed with me so that the new parents can sit back and relax. All of my nappy covers, hats and blankets are handmade. Using the softest most delicate fabrics which won’t irritate baby’s delicate skin. Any props used are hand-washed after each session with non-bio sensitive washing powder. Care and attention is paid to all these little details. Their safety and comfort is always my priority. With years of experience working with newborns you can rest assured that they are in safe hands. I bring my own hand sanitiser gel and reapply this regularly. I’m also more than happy to use any supplied at the home.
Working with newborns is such a joy. I like to allow them to fall naturally into poses with a little guidance and help from me to create the perfect shot.
I hope you enjoy this sneak peak!

Baby Face! This little one has the cutest little baby face! I love this pose for my newborn photography session’s. I love her beautiful eyelashes and gorgeous little pout! Just too beautiful for words. I’ve paired this shot with her tiny feet picture as side by side they work so well as a set.
This was such a lovely newborn photoshoot at my Clients home in South London. Even Granddad made a special journey for the occasion and I took some beautiful family & Granddad shots during the session. Granddads have a special relationship with their grandchildren. It can often be a little daunting holding a newborn again after such a long time. I always make sure that they feel comfortable and are positioned safely or sat for their portraits.
It’s always lovely to receive recommendations from my Clients. Yesterday I received this lovely message from the mummy of this little one: “my friend is pregnant and will be getting in touch with you shortly as she loves our pictures so much. Thank you for such a beautiful job!”
If you would like to read more reviews and testimonials please see my google review page and also the testimonial page on my website.
Each time a do a newborn session I’m reminded by how quickly this stage passes. A new baby really is a special gift to the family and especially the grandparents. Reminding them of their early days with you as a baby. It really is a precious (although exhausting) time.
I feel even more so with my second child that this stage zoomed by. You are so busy as a mother of two that the days seem to go all that much faster. I try to take as many pictures as possible and hold onto those beautiful memories of those first cuddles.

I love the glamour of this pregnancy portrait. Black & white photography is beautiful and gives a classic edge to this shot.
It was such a pleasure to photograph Keri whilst she was expecting twins. Capturing this moment in time. A moment of calm and a time of reflection. Becoming a mother is one of the greatest adventures of our lives. It changes you in a way that you least expect it. Challenging your ideals and making you value life in a completely different way.
I think it is wonderful that so many women are now choosing to celebrate their pregnancy and record it in this way. Capturing the beauty of this incredible time and celebrating your changing body.
Keri did her own hair and make up beautifully for this photoshoot. I do also have a great hair and make up artist who I work with regularly. Arrangements can be made when you book your portrait session.
Keri is a well known designer and creator of the fantastic Kerikit bags
These beautiful, handmade leather changing bags are so stylish! I’m a little bit in love with the Charlie Pony bag . Not surprisingly these bags have been winning awards left, right and centre and have been featured in many international publications. Not to mention spotted on many a celebrity mamma’s arm!
This is no small achievement as a mother of three with a set of twins under two included! I think the twins were actually under one when she launched her first range. Take a moment to check out her range from one of the links above. It’s a great gift idea for baby showers and new mummy’s!

Baby and Family Photographer Dulwich, London
One of my older baby and family photography sessions. This one took place at my Client’s home in Dulwich. Just look at her gorgeous baby face and those beautiful eyes! This session was lots of fun. My second with this lovely family as they wanted to repeat our first portrait session which took place after their first child was born. (See picture at the bottom with special guest rabbit!)
I do love photographing this age. Between 4 – 6months is the perfect time for an older baby session. It’s wonderful to capture the cheeky baby smiles and gorgeous little arms & fists. The first year is full of so many dramatic changes. As a parent you don’t want to forget any of them.
My ‘first year’ portrait packages are ideal for this. Three photography session’s spread over the first year. From newborn at two weeks to 4-6months to one year old. It’s the perfect way to create a visual journey of their first year. These also make beautiful gifts for baby showers and maternity leave. Available to purchase on my gift section here. Each voucher is packaged in a lovely gift box with a mini set of Green & Blacks organic chocolates (my favourites) and your personalised gift card. There is still plenty of time to order your’s for Mothers Day. The cut off for Mothers Day orders is Thursday 23rd March.
Dulwich is one of my favourite places in London. I moved to South East London when I first made the big adventure from the Isle of Wight to the big smoke after University. Moving between, Peckham Rye, Nunhead, Dulwich and Brockley I’ve always chosen this pocket of London. Mostly for it’s wonderful green spaces and sense of community.
There is so much on offer for new parents and it is so easy to travel into town when I need my gallery fix.
We regularly use Dulwich Park and visit the Dulwich Picture Gallery with our children. If you have younger children I can highly recommend checking out the fantastic East Dulwich Gymboree! A great place for toddlers to explore and enjoy music in a softplay environment.

Newborn Twin Photography session Kensington London
Photographed at their home in Kensington just two weeks after they were born. I can’t stop looking at this picture. It was just such a perfect photoshoot. These two dreamy little ones, gently sleeping together. It is moments like these that I love to capture during my newborn twin photography sessions. Time passes so quickly and it is only the early weeks when twins still sleep together.
I know many parents put them in the brilliant sleepy head pods. Side by side in the same cot or crib. This is a great way to enable them to sleep together without them disturbing each other. I wish I had known about these when I had my two! Brilliant Swedish design and available in so many gorgeous prints & colours.
Twins are amazing aren’t they. Two new little people born minutes apart. It is incredible to think that just over a week before these shots were taken they were tucked up inside their Mum. Pregnancy is so incredible and I’m always in awe of twin Mums.
If you know of any brilliant twin support networks please let me know. I always like to pass on recommendations to my Clients and I have a lot of twins booked in this year already.
I often pass on inspiration and positive twin parenting advice from my client Ursula Rose. Her blog is fantastic. Refreshing and truthful. Definitely worth a visit if you are a twin mummy. http://ursula-rose.com/
From Ursula I learnt a valuable lesson about twin mummy’s. That is that when you are pregnant you constantly hear negative remarks. Such as ‘twins, oh my that must have been a shock’, ‘oh it’s going to be so hard’ ‘wow twins, how will you cope?’
She told me that it can really bring you down when you are already naturally nervous but also want to celebrate the fact that you are having twins. I mean it is pretty incredible isn’t it! You are going to have two babies! Two children at one time, a complete family. One pregnancy (if you decided to only do it once), one birth, one set of teething etc and the joy of seeing them grow and bond together. They will always have a playmate and always have someone they are close to.
It was so lovely to work with her on her newborn photography session. I always take her positive outlook to my twin sessions and hope that it helps.
I think there need to me more posts and sites like this for twin parents, I’d love to hear about them so please do get in touch
