Newborn Baby photographer Battersea session.

I’m happy to share some of the beautiful mother and baby portraits taken at a recent session in Battersea.

I read a blog recently about how important having pictures of you with your children is. It is true that as parents we take thousands of pictures of our children over time but actually have very little of us with them. I think it’s important to take the time to have some truly special portraits taken with your children. These will become their most treasured possession as they grow older.

These newborn baby and mother portraits are very graceful and I think they capture these first tender moments beautifully.

With mothers day not too far away now a mother & child photoshoot would make a unique & thoughtful gift. Please see my ‘Gift Voucher‘ page for details and contact me for bespoke packages.

I love my bump to baby photography sessions. I find that often the simplest shots work the best.

These before and after pictures were all taken on location at my Clients home. This is a key factor in helping everyone to feel relaxed and happy during their session. I like to think that I am making my Clients experience as easy as possible from start to finish. Of course this is even more important when you are expecting a baby and after you have given birth.

Pregnancy portraits are an amazing way to celebrate your body and create a lasting memory of your bump. My Client’s have so many different reasons for choosing to record this time. I’m always inspired by their stories. It is a joy to share in one of the happiest times of  their lives.

When I was pregnant I was always grateful for recommendations and birthing tips. For me my pregnancy yoga group and teacher provided the ultimate support and guidance. Unfortunately my teacher has since mover away back to her home country of Australia but I have just come across this fantastic holistic birthing website with classes in South East London.

I’m very happy to recommend Anjaneya Yoga, have a look at her wonderful classes here

Last week I was very excited to return to see this little one and to meet his new baby brother. Now a beautiful blond curly haired two year old I had to revisit the pictures I took at his first photoshoot. I love seeing the similarities between siblings. His new baby brother is just as gorgeous. It was wonderful to see them together. He had endless cuddles and kisses for the new arrival which was a delight to capture!

I loved looking back at these pictures from our first newborn photography session. They are very similar and it’s lovely to see these pictures again. I’m sharing a few of my favourite cuteness shots! Perfect for a Sunday morning!

I’m having a day with my little ones today. I love a lazy Sunday morning and now we are getting ready to go bowling at Surrey Quays Hollywood Bowl – wish me luck!

Newborn Photographer Wimbledon, SW1. Good morning London, the sun isn’t up yet but we are wide awake in my house. Whilst snuggled on the sofa with my toddler I thought it was the perfect moment to share some of my recent work.

Once the day begins there aren’t many moments to grab so I am making the most of this one in a truly British way with a nice cup of tea!

I imagine there is no greater feeling in the world than being lifted up neatly in the crook of you Daddy’s arm.

This is one of my favourite ‘nose to nose’ father and baby portraits from a recent newborn photography session in Wimbledon.

I was so happy to return again to photograph this family. I was lucky enough to photograph their first born two years ago. It is always wonderful to meet the new addition to my families and capture more precious moments for them.

Capturing parent & baby shots is something I always like to include my sessions. These private moments are rare and precious.  The photographs I have of my parents with me are my treasures. It is wonderful to look back and see how tenderly you were held. How small you were in their arms and how they looked (back then!). Creating a visual record of that time is an honour.

Please take a moment to have a look at more parent & child moments in my portfolio here

Tomorrow I have a newborn twin photography session in Borough, South London. I can’t wait to meet the new arrivals. Newborn twin photography is always so rewarding. I’ll be updating my blog with more recent pictures of my 2017 photography sessions soon.

Thank you for visiting my blog. My first achievement of the day! A post whilst entertaining my toddler at 6.00am and the sun is finally rising! My apologies for any typos!

Have a great day x

I love this mother & baby portrait taken at a recent newborn session in Canary Wharf. Those first precious days following the birth of your child. I remember it being a mix of joy, exhaustion, tears and happiness.

This little one is just so gorgeous and I love how he folded his little arms by his face when his mother wrapped him in her arms.

I’ve been a bit slow updating my blog recently, January has been one of my busiest months and there just aren’t enough hours in the day! I’ll be adding some new work to my website over the next few days.

Newborn photography sessions take place in the first 2-3weeks. Advance booking is recommended to ensure I can fit you in. Most of my Clients book quite soon after their 20 week scan. I am more than happy to work around you and your family. My aim is to provide an enjoyable & professional photography experience in your home. For recent reviews please see my google review page. Further reviews are shown on the testimonial page of my website.

A few more details can be found here in my FAQ section. You can contact me for further details via my booking page.

Newborn photography West London session with this little cutie. A tiny smile crept across her face just as the shutter clicked. It’s one of those incredible moments during a newborn photography session. Everyone one in the room melts and it’s such a lovely feeling.

I’m really pleased with this shot of this gorgeous little newborn. swinging happily in her Daddy’s arm. What a wonderful feeling that must be. Her Dad was gently stroking her back to make her feel settled and relaxed for this picture. I love how his hand is gently touching her back.

Nestled in the heart of Kensington on a quiet leafy street. I arrived at their family home for their first photoshoot with their precious new arrival. I always feel excited before my newborn sessions. To capture this moment for the new parents and future generations of their family is an honour. I’m entering into their lives at a very private time. The new parents are at home getting to know their new baby and learning how to look after them. It’s a big change to their lives especially with the first born. I remember how I felt in these early days and am very sensitive to that. We generally chat and drink lots of tea whilst I set up the different studio settings for each portrait. Newborn sessions take time and I want to ensure that everyone is relaxed and happy. Most importantly that the baby is comfortable at all times. For this reason I only take on a certain amount of newborns each month and I only book one session per day.

It is a magical time and I want my newborn session to the beautiful memories of this time.

Today I’m having some family time to celebrate my nephews 10th birthday! I can’t believe what a lovely human he is and I’m so proud. The past 10 years he has added to our lives and we already have so many great memories and happy times between us. I still remember the day he was born as if it was yesterday. I rushed to the hospital to be with my sister and brother in-law. To hold him and to hug them. He was so tiny and perfect with a full head of gorgeous hair. It really doesn’t feel like 10 years ago! I use to marvel at my Dad when he talked about things that happened ’10 years ago’. I would think goodness how do you remember things that happened so long ago! As a child you can’t imagine that. The days seem to last forever and a year stretches out for eternity.

I love documenting children as they grow. I’m lucky to have many Clients who ask me to take portraits of their children year after year.  It is a thrill to capture the changes in them and see their personalities grow & develop. A series of portraits in the same style over the years really does capture those changes. It is a beautiful gift to give them.

I’m more than happy to chat through details of these. One of my most popular packages is the First Year Photography experience. Which is three sessions spread over the first year. For details please contact me via my booking page.
