A few portraits from a lovely Family Photography session in Marylebone. Such gorgeous ages to photograph and both of these gorgeous little ones loved their private photography session at home. I even got a hug from this sweet little boy on arrival which I was told by his Mum was very rare indeed so I felt extremely privileged to receive such a welcome!

I love capturing the little details such as tiny little toes cradled in Daddy’s hands as well as mother & baby and father and baby portraits. whilst I’m editing I’m thinking of this little baby looking back when she is fully grown and marvelling at how tiny she was and how small she looked in her mothers arms.
And of course there is always room for a special older sibling shoot during a newborn session, to help make them feel extra special and this delightful little girl was only to pleased to have her picture taken, a true professional!

Hello All,
I’m enjoying taking a quick break from my editing and shooting schedule to put together a selection of my favourite images from recent Newborn, Baby and Family photography sessions for my blog and Facebook pages.
It’s been a very busy start to the year and I’ve enjoyed capturing some wonderful moments for my Clients across London.
These newborn baby and sibling shots were taken at a recent private portrait session in Camberwell, after first meeting this gorgeous two year old little girl for her newborn pictures I was thrilled to return to meet and capture the arrival of her new baby sister.
Just look at those beautiful bouncing curls and although you can’t see it she actually had dozens of hair clips in her hair, I think most of them were on the other side in this shot as her Mum told me she just loves putting hair clips in her hair and who wouldn’t with those curls!
It’s always wonderful to see siblings together, she adored her baby sister and was more than happy to kiss and cuddle her for our photo-shoot in her home.
It was also a treat for me to see that the maternity and newborn photographs from our first session were still being enjoyed by the family, displayed in stunning frames around their home.

Just too adorable for words this one! A lovely newborn photography session in Hampstead with this picture perfect baby boy and his family.
Returning a few weeks after a lovely maternity photography session with his Mum, I was very excited to meet their new arrival and capture some precious moments for them.
Thank you so much to everyone for all the kind words about my work, you are all very kind. It’s wonderful to receive such positive feedback and to know that the images are enjoyed.
Tomorrow I’ll be heading over to Chelsea to capture the first moments with a newborn baby girl, again following a wonderful maternity photoshoot with her beautiful Mummy a month before her arrival. I always look forward to these sessions, they are so personal and I as I feel like I’ve got to know my Clients quite well during our maternity session the atmosphere is very relaxed and informal.
This is really important when photographing newborns and being at home also helps, I want new parents to be as comfortable as possible, without the hassle of traveling across London. I bring everything with me, props and my portable studio to help the session flow as effortlessly as possible, with lots of time to stop and feed the new baby as much as needed.
With a 5 year old and a one year old myself, the memory of those early weeks is still very vivid and I hope it always will be. It did pass all too quickly for me though and I know that everybody says the same but it is true, those first few weeks really are precious and fleeting.

Tiny little ones ….
Capturing the beauty of a newborn baby is a wonderful and incredibly moving experience as a photographer, I like to connect with the families I’m photographing and love to think of how this photographs will be looked back on in years to come.
Just like today when my sister emailed me some of the most precious first pictures after my nephew was born, 4 years ago and yet it seemed like yesterday.
There is something special about a black & white image that I think lends itself so beautifully to newborn photography. Taking away the distractions of colour you completely focus on the subject and the striking details.
After capturing their pregnancy photographs for them a few weeks earlier I returned to meet this gorgeous little man and welcome him into the world with his first photoshoot!
