Capturing the before and after with pregnancy and newborn portraits that compliment each other and stand the test of time is something that I love to do.
These precious moments before you become a mother and then with your tiny little bundle are so fleeting and poignant. It is without a doubt one of the most life changing experiences you will ever have, becoming a parent, falling in love with your child and then as they grow trying to remember those first precious moments.
I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful new mother and her baby boy at their home in Hampstead, I’m delighted to be able to share them with you!

I had a wonderful newborn baby photography session with this beautiful little one and her family at their home in Old Street. The early weeks are so precious and it’s incredible to capture this with a series of treasured photographs.
The family chose a beautiful handmade album of their favourite images along with professionally prepared digital images to keep and print as often as they like. Thank you so much for the kind words following our session:

The first week of January completed and it feels as though a whole month has been packed into one week! Lots of wonderful newborns to welcome into the world this week, who have been patiently waiting since the Christmas break, such a happy start to the year!
I’m delighted to share these very joyful family moments captured at a Family photography session in Wimbledon, I just loved the energy of this little one as he sprung into his parents arms.

Just sharing a couple of this beautiful baby girl photographed at her welcome to the world newborn photography session with her family in Clapham.
I was marvelling at how much she looks like her brother who I photographed as a newborn three years earlier. I’ve been very lucky to capture lots of moments with this family over the years and it’s so lovely to have had the opportunity to get to know them and capture lots of important milestones – without a doubt one of the most rewarding parts of being a baby photographer.

Happy New Year Everyone!
What better way to start the New Year then sharing a few of these Newborn baby photographs from a lovely session I did recently in Greenwich.
I was so pleased to visit this family again having captured the arrival of their daughter a couple of years earlier, it was wonderful to return and meet the latest addition to their family. These are a few of my favourites from their selection and also some very kind words from Mum following our session.
“We asked Elle to photograph our first baby in 2013 and we were so pleased with the experience and moments captured that we asked her to do the same with our second born, as well as get a couple of family shots. It was such a different experience – with a number of new variables to work with (including a toddler) – and Elle did an awesome job going with the flow and still getting some gorgeous images. The ‘in between’ moments of getting photos is so easy and comfortable with Elle.”

I had the pleasure of revisiting one of my favourite families this year to welcome their newborn baby boy into the world.
Having photographed the arrival of their baby girl last year whilst I was pregnant with my son it was a joy to learn they were expecting number two and to be asked to capture their maternity and newborn portraits for them again at their home in London.
Seeing their little girl again as a toddler and photographing them together as a family was beautiful, so many wonderful moments captured it was hard to edit their gallery. They chose a selection of pregnancy, newborn and family pictures for one of my hand crafted story board frames to compliment their digital image package.
