It’s the little details that count, when we are looking back trying to remember how it felt to have their little hand grasp onto our fingers. I was marvelling at my sons tiny hand today and how he likes to grip onto my thumb whilst feeding, I’m sure one day his hands will be bigger than mine and I’ll find it hard to remember how it felt to have held his tiny fingers in mine.
I’m taking as many pictures as possible of these moments to freeze them in time and store in a treasure chest just for me!

A beautiful newborn baby girl looking adorable in my chunky knit bow hat….I have developed a bit of a prop buying addiction and especially with these gorgeous handmade baby hats!
I photographed this little girl at her home in Camberwell, South London along with her very excited big brother and proud Mum & Dad. The early days are so precious, I always feel very lucky to have been a small part of that and to have captured something truly special to treasure.

The newborn stage is so fleeting, it’s not long before your baby has learnt to roll onto his / her tummy, grab things and before you know it their first teeth are showing and it’s time to start them on their first tastes of food.
It’s an exciting time for parents and I love capturing little ones at all stages during the first year, this morning I took some time out to photograph our little boy Sonny who is 4 months old this week! He is doing all of the above although not onto the solids yet but it is only a couple of months away and he’ll be sat at the table in his high chair with the rest of the family.
This gorgeous baby boy is around two or three months old if I remember correctly and I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph him with his family at their home in Blackheath. He is so adorable and as he fell asleep towards the end of our session I was able to curl him up beautifully into one of my baby pods for this shot.

I’ve been busy working away this evening retouching this weeks photography sessions and packaging up orders ready to send out tomorrow. The weeks are flying by at the moment and it’s wonderful to be so busy.
I’ve had a lot of lovely maternity portrait sessions recently and I’ve chosen to share this pregnancy photograph from a session at my Clients home in Holland Park.
I used some vintage lace for this portrait which I think works really well, it’s such a delicate fabric giving an elegant feel to the picture.
I’m often asked which stage I recommend for pregnancy photography and I usually say anytime between 32-36 weeks but it really depends on when you feel most comfortable. For example some women feel they would like to capture their bump earlier at around 29-30 weeks, this is often the case if expecting twins and carrying a little larger or booked in for an earlier delivery date.
Booking as far in advance as possible is also recommend, usually after your 20 week scan, this is particularly important if you are booking the maternity and newborn photography package to ensure that a time period around your due date can be reserved. However, occasionally late minute spaces do become available so it is always worth checking.
I work in black and white and bring the studio to your home so both sessions are very relaxed, private and informal with beautiful results.
