A sweet series from this lovely newborn photography session. It is the little details that we always miss the most as our children grow isn’t it? Like how sweet their little hands were clenched into a tiny fist when they were first born. The shape of their nose and how soft their little cheeks were to touch.
It’s wonderful capturing some of these precious details on camera. Saving those perfect memories for life. even now as my youngest is three years old I marvel at the shape of his nose and the softness of his cheeks. I can see him changing before my eyes and I want to hold on to these beautiful memories for as long as possible.
There is no greater feeling in the world than meeting your baby for the first time. The beginning of the next great adventure!

What a wonderful start to the year. I’ve been lucky to have spent these cold January days photographing lots of beautiful newborns and their families. I think the winter is a special time to have your baby. Especially as there is no need to feel any pressure to leave the house until Spring! You can just stay cosy and enjoy those precious cuddles with your newborn.
I love to focus on capturing, gentle and natural newborn poses. I am an experienced newborn photographer and always position babies safely. With consideration to their comfort at all times. All babies are different and if they are not happy in a position I will help them to settle into a gentle pose that works for them. A huge part of my work is being in tune with how my Client’s and their little bundles of joy are feeling that day. Listening to what they are happy to do during the photoshoot and what they would like to achieve.
The first few weeks following the birth of a baby are so precious. It’s an incredible honour to be asked to capture this and to enter the family home at such a special time. I have recently returned to some of my Clients homes to photograph their second babies and nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing the pictures from our first pregnancy and newborn photography session’s on their walls. I love how treasured these pictures have become for the family.

Beautiful & tender sister moments captured during a recent newborn photography session in North London.
I love the three stages of these portraits, the gentle cuddle, the little snuggle and then the cheeky little peak at me capturing her pictures. So sweet and such a lovely big sister!
This was a wonderful photoshoot as I first photographed big sister when she was a newborn and it was a pleasure to return to photograph her new baby brother.
I remember capturing similar moments between my two after my son was born. I was so exhausted and still recovering from a difficult labour but I knew I had to capture the two of them together as soon as possible. They are still my favourite shots of the both of them and I have them framed on my wall.
It is always my aim to make my newborn photoshoots as relaxed and easy as possible for the new parents and their family. Ensuring that I have everything ready to capture those precious moments whilst they rest and recover. Family portraits are wonderful and often feature as part of the session. These shots are usually taken towards the beginning of the photoshoot when the parents and older siblings still feel fresh and energised. Leaving them free to relax for the rest of the photoshoot whilst I focus on the baby portraits.

A beautiful pregnancy and newborn photography package for this wonderful family. There is no greater joy for me than photographing the bump to baby journey. Being a small part of this incredible part of someones life and helping to capture those precious moments for them.
I think pregnancy portraits are liberating and powerful. Taking time out of your busy schedule to capture that beautiful shape is a wonderful way to celebrate your changing body and becoming a mother. I recommend between 34-36 weeks as the ideal time. It’s not often that we celebrate our bodies in this way and it is a very personal moment. One that I know will be looked back on in wonder over the years by both mother, father and child.
Their precious baby girl arrived and I was back within the first two weeks to capture her newborn portraits. We marvelled at how tiny she was and I wanted to show this by photographing her cupped gently in her Daddy’s hands.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed returning to photograph the second pregnancy and newborn portraits for this lovely family.
We first met 4 years ago when they asked me to capture their first born and just look what a gorgeous 4 year old he has grown into! He was a complete joy to photograph and as you can see from these pictures he was so very proud of his new baby sister.
I have many favourites from this portrait session that it was hard to choose which ones to share on my blog. Which is why I have included a large selection to give a feel for both photoshoots. I love capturing bump to baby portraits. These beautiful & precious moments are wonderful to freeze in time. It was wonderful to capture these precious moments during the first year for this beautiful family at their home in Chelsea. From pregnancy to newborn to 6 months and finally to celebrate their son turning one!
The first year is full of incredible milestones. This little one was the third to enter the family and as Mum hadn’t captured her previous pregnancies she didn’t want to miss the opportunity to capture this one. It was wonderful to include her two first born in the session. This beautiful hands on the bump shot is one of my favourites. They were so sweet and so excited about their new baby brother, I think this captures that feeling perfectly.
Creating a black & white family gallery of the first year is such a joy to do. I love how the images flow seamlessly together and show each beautiful change. I loved watching this little one grow and getting to know the family over the year. Each time I returned I was welcomed so warmly into their home and I’m thrilled that they are happy with the results.
